Logistics & Transport ERP implementation

A French truck manufacturer and a largest transport company selects new board computers and the ERP application for Transport & Logistics.

Situation

The truck manufacturer is demanding high quality for product and solution. This is delaying the acceptance, frustrating the development teams, building up the costs and putting enormous pressure on the deadlines. A request to play a role of project manager to control the situation and deliver in time.

Solution

Sessions with the customer confirmed that there are many discrepancies between the requirements and the product functionalities being used in Proof of Concept phase. The requirements were analyzed again using the MoSCoW method. An agreement was reached to focus on Must have and Should have requirements for the acceptance.  The project milestones and deadlines were revisited. A tight control on development activities as well as costs and transparency in customer communication were strictly followed.

Results

The project was delivered within budget and time resulting in satisfied customer and increased business.
